Scootaround’s Data Protection Compliance
On May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in the European Union. This data privacy law regulates how businesses can collect and process personal data, giving the individual more control over how their personal data is used. Below is an outline of the steps Scootaround has taken to ensure we comply with GDPR and other federal and state-wide privacy laws.
Privacy Policy
We have updated Scootaround’s privacy policy to comply with GDPR and various other federal and state-wide privacy laws.
Vendor Compliance
We have made changes to our vendor agreement to ensure that all the vendors we work with comply with GDPR and other federal and state-wide privacy laws.
Deletion of Personal Data
We allow customers to request the deletion of their personal data at any time.
Employee Training
All Scootaround employees are obligated to protect the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information. We have reworked our training policies and literature to reinforce the importance of these security policies.
